 The Duc Vuong Hotel is a mid-range, 2-star and affordable hotel, in an excellent location on a lively and busy street in Ho Chi Minh City"s backpacker area.
Within easy walking distance are a large number of restaurants to suit all budgets offering a wide range of cuisines including Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Halal and European, as well as numerous bars and clubs. The Duc Vuong hotel is also ideally located to explore the many exciting tourist attractions of Ho Chi Minh City including the War Remnants Museum, the Independence Palace, with the famous Ben Thanh market is only 10 minutes away.

My husband and I discovered this gem when we were walking around to see all the many restaurants, shops, spas, and other services on this bustling and colorful Bui Vien Street. We were staying at another hotel nearby, but we immediately decided to give Duc Vuong a try. What convinced us was the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast buffet, and the FREE family dinner. While it is possible to find cheaper rooms nearby, when you include the savings with the breakfast and dinner, Duc Vuong Hotel is an excellent value. Over breakfast and the family dinner you will meet people from all over the world. Once we stayed here, we decided we would NEVER stay at any other hotel. The rooms are a little small, but VERY clean and the ammenities are wonderful -- free cold and hot water, shampoo, hair dryer, coffee, fruit, etc. There are four or five different room types, so if you prefer a larger room, you can ask for it. The roof garden terrace is an excellent place to enjoy a cold drink or to relax with hot tea. You can invite your friends to gather on the terrace, even if they are staying at another hotel (but who would want to?). Duc Vuong is like home to us now when we come to Saigon, and the staff really are like FAMILY.
Room Tip: Ask to see different types of room before making your choice. Some have bath tub and there is even a large suite to accommodate families.

We had a splendid time in Ho Chi Minh City especially at Duc Vuong Hotel! The staff really lived up with their slogan: "We are Family"! They were very accommodating and ready to help with a smile. The hotel"s location is great...near everything; moreover, they offered free breakfast and free dinner (if you"ll sign-up before 5pm). We highly recommend Duc Vuong Hotel! See you again...soon! :^)

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Duc Vuong hotel in November 2011 and would recommend it to anybody. We are planning to return to Saigon in 2012 and wouldn"t consider staying anywhere else. The location is perfect, close to all entertainment, restaurants and bars. Extremely affordable and the staff go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Overall a clean, affordable and extremely friendly hotel. Once again thankyou. They live upto their motto "We are a Family."
